Day 1: Sacred Valley Tour & Journey to Aguas Calientes
At the agreed time, we will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel to begin the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu tour. The first stop will be at the Taray viewpoint, where you can admire panoramic views of the Sacred Valley, crossed by the majestic Wilka Mayu River. Then, you will visit the artisanal market of Pisaq, famous for its exquisite silver jewelry and local crafts. Next, explore the fascinating archaeological site of Pisaq, known for its impressive agricultural terraces and one of the largest cemeteries discovered in the region. After the tour, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba, followed by a visit to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Here, you will admire Inca architecture and enjoy a spectacular view of the living Inca town from the Sun Temple to the Colcas, the ancient storage systems used by the Incas. You will then have time to freely explore the charming streets of Ollantaytambo before heading to the train station. From there, you will take a comfortable train to Aguas Calientes, where a member of our STAFF will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Machu Picchu Tour and Return to Cusco
Early in the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the bus station. You will board the bus that will take you to the entrance of this world wonder. Upon entering the Inca city, you will enjoy a 2½ to 3-hour tour, exploring iconic sites like the Guardian’s House, the Sun Temple, the Temple of the Three Windows, and much more. Our guide will immerse you in the fascinating history, origins, and mysteries of this incredible place. After the visit, you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and finally take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, where we will be waiting with a sign with your name to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
