You will experience different climates and landscapes, from the coast and Andes to the jungle. Explore Lima, the capital of Peru; Cusco, the Inca capital; the Sacred Valley; and take a train to the world wonder, Machu Picchu.
We will pick you up from Jorge Chávez Airport in Lima and take you to your hotel. In the evening, we will take you to the Parque de la Reserva to see a laser light show on the water fountains and learn about Peru’s culture. After the tour, we will return to your hotel.
We will pick you up from your hotel to start the tour. See Huaca Pucllana, an important ceremonial center. Visit downtown Lima and pass popular neighborhoods, including San Isidro and Lince, and see landmarks like the Justice Palace, Lima Museum, and Plaza San Martín. At Plaza de Armas, visit Lima Cathedral, Municipal Palace, Government Palace, and Archbishop’s Palace. Enter the San Francisco Convent and Catacombs, where over 25,000 people were buried. We will take you back to your hotel after the tour.
We will pick you up from Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport and take you to your hotel in Cusco.
In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour and visit Sacsayhuamán. Discover Cusco Cathedral (optional) and Qorikancha, the most important Inca temple. Visit Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. We will return you to your hotel after the tour.
We will take you to Taray Viewpoint to see the Sacred Valley and Wilka Mayu River. Visit the Pisac market and archaeological site. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba. Visit Ollantaytambo and learn about Las Colcas. Take the Expedition/The Voyager train to Aguas Calientes, where our staff will meet you and take you to your hotel.
After breakfast, we will pick you up and go to the bus station for Machu Picchu. The tour lasts 2 ½ to 3 hours, with stops at the Guardian’s House, Temple of the Sun, and more. Return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included), then take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, and we will take you to your hotel in Cusco.
