Itinerary


Day 1
Day 1: Welcome to Peru, City Tour, San Francisco Catacombs & Magic Water Circuit

Upon arrival at Jorge Chavez Airport in Lima, we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel where you can rest after your long trip. In the afternoon, we will pick you up from your hotel lobby to start the tour. We will begin with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an important ceremonial center of the Lima culture. Then, we will head to the historic center, passing through popular districts like San Isidro, Lince, and Cercado, and seeing landmarks such as the Palace of Justice, Lima Museum, Italian Art Museum, French Palace, and Plaza San Martin. We will start a walking tour at Plaza de Armas, where you will see the Lima Cathedral, Municipal Palace, Government Palace, and Archbishop’s Palace. You will enter the San Francisco Convent and its catacombs, a series of underground passages beneath the church where over 25,000 people were buried.

After this, we will visit the Parque de la Reserva, which serves as the entrance to the historic center of Lima. Here, you will enjoy an impressive laser show projected onto water fountains and get an introduction to Peruvian culture and its rich heritage. At the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel.


Day 2
Day 2: Trip to Ica, City Tour, Huacachina & Desert Adventures

The route on the Pan-American Highway offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean, and after about 4.5 hours, you will reach Ica, home to the most impressive oasis in South America. Upon arrival, we will take you to your hotel so you can prepare for the day’s activities.

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel lobby to start the city tour. You will visit the main square, the rebuilt Señor de Luren Church, and the surrounding areas, including artisanal vineyards where you can taste wines and pisco and learn about the production process of Peruvian pisco. The tour continues in the town of Cachiche, where you will discover the Witch Park and the mysterious “Seven-Headed Palm Tree.” Finally, you will visit Huacachina Oasis, the only oasis in South America, surrounded by beautiful palm trees in the desert. The dunes around Huacachina are perfect for sandboarding, which involves sliding down the sand on a board, and you can also enjoy an adrenaline-filled ride in a dune buggy.


Day 3
Day 3: Tour of Ballestas Islands, Paracas National Reserve & Return to Lima

After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up and take you to the Paracas port to start the tour of the Ballestas Islands. These islands, located near Pisco, consist of rocky formations that host a rich variety of marine wildlife, including guano birds like the guanay, the booby, and the red-legged cormorant, as well as penguins, sea lions, and pelicans.

After exploring the Ballestas Islands, we will head to the Paracas National Reserve, a protected area in Peru located in Pisco Province, Ica. This reserve was created to conserve a portion of Peru’s sea and desert, protecting the various species of wildlife living there.

Once the tour is complete, we will take you to the bus station to board the bus back to Lima, where we will meet you and take you to your hotel so you can rest.


Day 4
Day 4: Welcome & Transfer to Your Hotel in Cusco

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. In the afternoon, we will start the city tour and visit the Sacsayhuamán archaeological park. We will pick you up from your hotel lobby to begin the tour. You will visit Cusco Cathedral (optional) and the most important Inca temple, “Qoricancha,” which showcases impressive Inca architecture and precise construction techniques. You will then visit the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuamán with its massive stone structures, the sacred site of Q’enqo, Pukapukara (the control point for the Inca city), and Tambomachay, known for being a resting place for ancient Inca rulers. After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel.


Day 5
Day 5: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour & Travel to Aguas Calientes

We will pick you up from your hotel and head to the Taray viewpoint, where you can admire the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the “Wilka Mayu” river. You will visit the Pisaq artisan market, known for its silver jewelry, and the Pisaq archaeological site, which has impressive terraces and one of the largest cemeteries from the era. After the tour, enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba before continuing to the Ollantaytambo archaeological site, where you will have a beautiful view of the Inca village and climb the Sun Temple. You will also learn about the storage system used during the period called “Las Colcas.”

After the tour, we will transfer you to Ollantaytambo train station (approximately 2 hours) to board the Expedition/The Voyager train to Aguas Calientes (approximately 1.5 hours). Upon arrival, a member of our staff will meet you and take you to your hotel for rest.


Day 6
Day 6: Tour of Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel lobby and head to the bus station for the ride to Machu Picchu. You will discover the Lost City of the Incas during a guided tour lasting 2.5 to 3 hours. The guide will tell the history and significance of this world wonder, and you will visit sites such as the guardian’s house, the Sun Temple, the Temple of the Three Windows, the main square, the urban zone, the quarry, and more. After the tour, you will board the bus back to Aguas Calientes, have lunch (not included), and take the train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, where we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.


Day 7
Day 7: Hike to Rainbow Mountain

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel lobby to start the adventure to Rainbow Mountain. We will travel 2 hours to Cusipata for breakfast and then head to the camp and starting point of the hike. Here, you will receive instructions before starting the climb. Horse rental is available (not included). During the hike, you will enjoy beautiful high Andean landscapes, snow-capped peaks, and the complex geography of the region. At the summit, you will be able to see stunning views of the mountain and the Ausangate glacier, with time for relaxation, photos, and a guide’s explanation. After the experience, we will start the descent back to Chillihuani, where our transport will be waiting to take us to Cusipata for lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco.


Day 8
Day 8: Free Day, Farewell & Transfer to Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport

After breakfast, enjoy a last walk in the city and do any last-minute shopping. At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport in Cusco for your flight home.
